To develop technological capabilities in order to deliver HATC training programs to a much larger population of Hebrew educators.
The program is a blended model of face-to-face and distance training and includes the development of a series of 12 videotaped lectures by Dr. Ringwald with explanations of Hebrew at the Center’s (HATC) teaching tools, the creation of interactive webinars to facilitate distance learning, and a mixture of on-site and distance learning one-on-one and small group mentoring with expert practitioners. 75% of the interactions through this program were technology based, but there was still an investment in face-to-face and relationship building opportunities. HATC personnel also made onsite visits to each school.
In the first year of the project, five schools and 60 total Hebrew teachers participated in this project, reaching 1,560 students.
