The Jewish Experience on Film

The Projected Image: The Jewish Experience on Film airs on the network on Tuesdays throughout the month and focuses on a variety of themes including “The Evolving Jew,” “The Immigrant Experience,” “The Holocaust,” “Israeli Classics,” and “Tackling Prejudice.”

More than 20 films will be screened through September, including The Jazz Singer, The Stranger, The Juggler, Judgment at Nuremberg, Exodus, Gentleman’s Agreement, The Life of Emile Zola, and The Chosen.

The showcase will feature introductions by Turner Classic Movies host Robert Osborne and Dr. Eric Goldman, Ph.D., an expert on Yiddish, Israeli, and Jewish films, adjunct professor at Yeshiva University, and author of The American Jewish Story Through Cinema (2013) and Visions, Images and Dreams: Yiddish Film Past and Present (2011).
