To develop an early childhood training program for high school students in conjunction with Miami Dade Community College. This program provided 11th and 12th grade Jewish high school students with the opportunity to explore Jewish early childhood education while earning college credit.

The four courses offered through this program were equivalent to the Early Childhood courses offered at Dade Community College with the addition of a Judaic Studies component. These courses were taught by an approved adjunct faculty member of the community college system at Jewish high school synagogue sites.

The courses introduced high school students to the field of Jewish Early Childhood Education utilizing knowledge of developmentally appropriate best educational practices. The program emphasized the general pedagogical guidelines set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Judaic formula prescribed the Helene and A.B. Wiener Early Childhood Department of the Central Agency for Jewish Education of Greater Miami.
