This grant funded the dissemination of a home-visiting program that provided informal, community-based in-home Jewish programming. The initiative began in St. Louis and then expanded to include Indianapolis, Montreal, San Francisco and Boston, though none of those programs are still running. There was also a program running in Yokneam, Israel, which is the sister city of St. Louis.
The program consists of a series of four home visits, focused on a Jewish theme — Shabbat, Mitzvot, Tishrei holidays, and Pesach — that are implemented by trained educators.
