70 Faces Media – To pilot a virtual learning program in which Jewish young adults of all backgrounds can explore elements of Judaism they never learned while delving into Jewish history, culture, and practice.
Do you have a specific demographic you’re aiming to include in your group?
The Hey Alma audience is a vibrant, active community of young adults in their teens, 20s and 30s. We are particularly focused on reaching members who did not have a traditional Jewish upbringing or attend Hebrew school. This pilot program engages a group that is actively seeking to explore their heritage on their own terms, often for the first time. Our goal is to provide a space where they feel seen and validated, regardless of their previous level of Jewish education or institutional involvement.
How will you work to reframe Hebrew school for your participants who may struggle with the concept?
This program is specifically for people who struggle with the concept of Hebrew school – either because they attended as kids and didn’t feel they got much out of it, or because they were never given the opportunity to attend. Hey Alma’s voice and branding make it clear this is a reframing of Hebrew school, offering interesting, essential lessons tuned into the reality of modern Jewish life. We are creating an environment where learning feels dynamic, sparking connections and new ideas. This is not about simplification but about a sophisticated, relevant approach that provides depth and meaning, achieved through the careful selection of inspiring and knowledgeable educators.
